Frequently Ask Questions (Updated 6-16-2006):

Q: Does the program communicate with the Laser Tag Team Ops system in anyway?
A: No it does not, nor will it ever. It is a simple data input system and designed for groups and players who just want a way to record the game data and either post it on the web or to compare the data from various games.

Q: What Palm Devices are supported?
A: Currently in Beta, Laser Tag Tag Master supports Palm OS5+, while Laser Tag Team Player support Palm OS4+. Both support color, grayscale and HiRes. NOTE: Palm's Zire 22 is officially unsupported due to a software bug in the OS on that specific device.

Q: What is the difference between Tag Master and Tag Player editions?
A: LTTM is designed for the tag master who hosts games. It supports scoring of up to 24 players in a game. LTTP is designed for a single player to keep track of personal scores.

Q: Is there a Pocket PC/Windows Mobile port?
A: Currently there are no plans for this.

Q: Is the source code available?
A: No. This is a freeware program and not open source.

Q: Is there localization (language) support?
A: Currently only US English is supported, however if there is enough demand for it I can add support for other languages in a future version, if you provide me with the correct translations.

Q: Is there a desktop application?
A: Yes. This is known as the "Converter". It allows exports only of LTTM and LTTP data. Current export formats include: .csv, .xml, and .html. In order to customize the layout of the html you will need some XSL/HTML experiance. The look can be changed via css files.

Q: Can you add a feature if requested?
A: Ideas are always welcome and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Some features may not be added for development reasons.

Q: I have an idea for a new game type. Can this be officially added to the game types database?
A: Yes, assuming you have tested the idea in actual game play and the majority of game bugs are eliminated or a workaround is documented. You will be given full credit for the game type. Remember though, you can add new game types manually for your own use.

Q: What else does it do?
A: The system does have other features that help out players and groups who play Laser Tag in general, including a Player/Team Generator**. This allows the system to generate who will be on what team avoiding the problem of Team Captains picking the best players first. You can also send data as text via BT, Wifi, and IR if you device supports that method.

**Only available in Lazer Tag Tag Master
